Assistant Manager

 

Reporting to: Store Manager
 
Role:
 
To effectively motivate staff to achieve the highest standards of sales performance, customer service and administration. To assist with the daily running of the store, deputising for the Store Manager as required in order to achieve sales and profitability by providing quality customer service. To meet all targets as a minimum. To ensure that all Company policies, procedures, controls and administrative processes are implemented an upheld.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • To assist the Store Manager in all aspects of managing the store to ensure that  maximum turnover and cash flow are achieved together with optimum gross and net operating profits.
  • To achieve the highest possible standard of customer service by assisting with after sales queries and providing prompt appropriate responses to customer complaints.
  • To achieve maximum personal sales.
  • To train staff as delegated by the Manager.
  • To ensure that accurate stock levels and records are maintained, together with the highest standards of display and cleanliness. 
  • Ensure that all tickets, point of sale and graphics are displayed correctly.
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety procedures and Company security requirements are implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure that all staff are familiar with the Company’s organisation, retail approach and service standards and that they understand and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure that you and your colleagues comply with the Company’s Staff Business  Image.
  • To effectively liaise with colleagues and carry out any other related duties as requested by the Store Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Divisional Controller or Main Board Director.
