Sales Assistant

Reporting to: Store Manager

 

Role:
 
To achieve the highest standards of sales performance, customer service, store presentation and administration. To assist with the daily store operation. To meet all targets as a minimum. To ensure that all Company policies, procedures, controls and administrative processes are implemented an upheld.
 
Main Responsibilities:
 
  • To welcome all prospective customers to the store.
  • To approach unattended customers and assist in establishing their requirements by showing them relevant merchandise and discussing quality and price options.
  • To explain the credit facilities available to our customers.
  • To close a sale having first checked stock availability and agree delivery and fitting arrangements.
  • To fully and correctly complete all paperwork related to sales.
  • To ensure that all monies relevant to completed sales are paid and that any balances are collected prior to the goods being fitted..
  • To assist in all store presentations, ticketing, cleaning and promotional displays, in addition to moving, cutting and rolling on of rolls as applicable.
  • To comply with all Company policies and procedures concerning Staff Business, Image, Health and Safety, administration and security. 
  • To achieve maximum personal sales by exceeding sales targets set by store Management.
  • Ensure that you are available and willing to work on Sundays, special promotions and Bank Holidays as required.
  • To effectively liaise with colleagues and carry out any other related duties as requested by the Store Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Divisional Controller or Main Board Director.
